Weaverbird Group of Companies is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to join its operations at 12 Miles, Chibombo.
The company is seeking candidates for the positions of Forklift Operator and Security Guard to support safe, efficient and secure day-to-day operations.
The Forklift Operator will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklift equipment while supporting the movement, loading and unloading of materials within the company premises.
The Security Guard will be responsible for safeguarding company property and personnel, monitoring the premises and controlling access to designated areas.
Operate forklift equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with established procedures.
Load, unload and move materials within the company premises.
Ensure materials are handled and positioned safely.
Conduct routine forklift equipment checks before and during operations.
Report mechanical faults, defects or other equipment issues promptly.
Follow all applicable forklift operating and workplace safety procedures.
Maintain awareness of surrounding personnel, equipment and potential hazards.
Use the forklift responsibly to minimise the risk of accidents, damage or injury.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment around forklift operating areas.
Safeguard company property, equipment and personnel.
Monitor company premises and designated areas.
Control access points and monitor individuals entering and leaving the premises.
Remain alert and report suspicious activities or security concerns.
Report security incidents and unusual activities to the appropriate supervisor.
Maintain accurate security logs and records.
Monitor and respond appropriately to incidents occurring within the assigned area.
Follow company security procedures and instructions.
Applicants should possess:
Valid Forklift Operator's Licence.
Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role.
Practical experience operating forklifts in a workplace environment.
Strong understanding of forklift and workplace safety procedures.
Applicants should possess:
Previous experience in security services is preferred.
Ability to remain physically fit, alert and attentive during working hours.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to follow security procedures and instructions.
Ability to identify and report security concerns promptly.

Both positions are based at 12 Miles, Chibombo.
The Forklift Operator will work within an operational environment involving material handling and movement.
The Security Guard will work within the company's premises and may be required to monitor access points and conduct security activities as assigned.
