Hazida Limited is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Assistant HVAC Technician.

About the Role

The Assistant HVAC Technician will support the installation, servicing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), and refrigeration systems. The successful candidate will ensure that all work is completed to the highest quality and safety standards while assisting in the efficient delivery of HVAC projects and maintenance services.

Key Responsibilities

Installation & Maintenance

• Install, service, maintain, and repair residential, commercial, and industrial air conditioning systems.

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration equipment.

• Assist with the installation and commissioning of new HVAC systems.

• Ensure equipment operates efficiently and meets manufacturer specifications.

Troubleshooting & Repairs

• Diagnose and repair electrical, refrigeration, and mechanical faults.

• Troubleshoot HVAC system failures and recommend appropriate corrective actions.

• Service a wide range of air conditioning systems, including split, cassette, ducted, package, and VRF/VRV systems.

• Interpret HVAC drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications to support maintenance and installation work.

Safety & Quality

• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company quality standards and safety procedures.

• Properly use tools, equipment, and testing instruments during maintenance activities.

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed.

• Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Team Support

• Work independently while supporting senior technicians on complex projects.

• Supervise and guide junior technicians where required.

• Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure timely completion of assigned work.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

• Craft Certificate or Diploma in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning or an equivalent qualification.

• Relevant technical training in HVAC systems.

Experience

The ideal candidate should have:

• Minimum 3–5 years of practical experience in HVAC installation and maintenance.

• Experience working on residential, commercial, and industrial HVAC systems.

• Experience with VRF/VRV systems will be an added advantage.

• A valid driver's licence will be an added advantage.

Required Skills and Competencies

The successful candidate should demonstrate:

• Strong knowledge of HVAC installation, servicing, and maintenance.

• Good electrical and refrigeration fault-finding skills.

• Ability to troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment efficiently.

• Ability to read and interpret HVAC drawings and specifications.
