AB InBev is seeking a qualified Electrician to provide specialist electrical maintenance support within the Packaging Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing electrical equipment and production systems to ensure maximum equipment reliability, safety, and operational efficiency.
Perform planned maintenance activities in accordance with maintenance schedules and standards.
Carry out routine inspections, troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and electrical repairs.
Execute maintenance work in line with work orders and planned maintenance programmes.
Perform autonomous maintenance activities as required.
Repair and maintain packaging equipment, electrical systems, and associated machinery.
Ensure maintenance tasks are completed correctly and within required timeframes.
Operate and maintain workshop equipment safely and efficiently.
Analyze equipment performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to eliminate recurring failures.
Optimize plant, process equipment, and electrical systems.
Support production by minimizing equipment downtime.
Participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
Apply 5S principles and maintain high housekeeping standards.
Ensure compliance with company safety, health, environmental, and food safety requirements.
Maintain a safe, healthy, and risk-free working environment.
Identify unsafe conditions and report safety observations (SIOs).
Conduct safety inspections and promote safe maintenance practices.
Adhere to PPE requirements and company maintenance procedures.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
Assist fellow team members in resolving technical problems.
Communicate effectively with production and maintenance teams.
Generate backlog reports and follow up on outstanding maintenance work.
Contribute to team development and knowledge sharing.
Ensure customer-focused maintenance service with minimal rework.
Applicants should possess:
Trade Tested N3 Electrical qualification.
Electrical Artisan – Trade Tested certification.
The ideal candidate should have:
Minimum 2–3 months of on-the-job training.
Ideally 3–6 months of structured on-the-job training.
1–2 years' experience as an Electrical Artisan in a similar industrial or manufacturing environment.
Electrical trade experience coupled with Control & Automation (C&A) knowledge will be an added advantage.
