About the Company

The Energy Regulation Board (ERB) is a statutory body established under the Energy Regulation Act No. 12 of 2019 to regulate the energy sector through licensing undertakings and ensuring consumers receive quality energy products and services while promoting a reasonable rate of return for energy utilities.

The ERB is inviting applications from suitably qualified and dynamic candidates for the position of Information Communication & Technology (ICT) Intern at its Lusaka Office.

About the Role

The ICT Intern will provide operational support to the Information Communication & Technology function by assisting with user support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining ICT assets, and ensuring timely resolution of ICT service requests.

Key Responsibilities

ICT Support

  • Provide first-line ICT support to staff by troubleshooting hardware and software issues.

  • Assist staff with digital tools and log all incidents and service requests.

  • Provide first-line remote technical assistance to internal users via phone, email, and desk-side support.

  • Assist users with basic hardware, software, network, and communication issues.

  • Troubleshoot connectivity issues and help ensure secure communication between ERB and partner institutions.

  • Provide timely feedback to users on the status of incidents and service requests.

  • Assist in maintaining the ICT assets register by ensuring all assets are accurately recorded, updated, and tracked.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

  • Full Grade 12 School Certificate or equivalent.

  • A Degree in Computer Science, Information and Communication Technology, or a related discipline.

  • Applicants must have graduated not earlier than 1st January 2023.

Internship Duration

  • Initial six (6) months

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
