The Legal Intern will gain practical exposure to legal work within a professional corporate environment. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Legal Officer and assist with legal research, document preparation, compliance activities, records management, and other functions supporting the company's legal and administrative operations.
This opportunity is suitable for an LLB graduate seeking to develop practical legal skills and gain workplace experience.
Conduct legal research on matters relevant to the company's operations.
Prepare concise legal briefs based on research findings.
Assist in drafting, reviewing, and managing legal documents, contracts, and agreements.
Support the preparation of legal correspondence and legal opinions under supervision.
Prepare case files and other legal materials as required.
Support the Legal Department in monitoring compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
Maintain and organise legal records and documentation in an accurate and accessible manner.
Assist with the proper management and filing of contracts, agreements, correspondence, and case-related documents.
Provide administrative support to the Legal Department.
Assist with day-to-day legal departmental activities.
Undertake additional duties and assignments as directed by the supervising Legal Officer.
Applicants should possess:
A Grade 12 (Form V) School Certificate with at least five O-Level credits, including English and Mathematics.
An LLB Degree from a recognised institution.
All academic and professional qualifications must be verified by the Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA).
Strong legal research and analytical abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good organisational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Professional conduct and integrity.
Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive legal information.
