About the Role

AB InBev is seeking a Packaging Operator to safely operate and maintain packaging equipment and associated production processes to achieve optimum operational effectiveness. The successful candidate will ensure production targets are met while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Packaging Operations

  • Operate packaging equipment and manage associated production processes.

  • Interpret and implement the production plan for each shift.

  • Operate manual and automated packaging machines in accordance with company standards.

  • Ensure process quality and productivity targets are achieved.

  • Perform autonomous maintenance and complete assigned maintenance work orders.

Safety, Quality & Compliance

  • Always maintain 5S standards to ensure an organized and efficient workplace.

  • Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, food safety, and environmental standards.

  • Maintain a safe and healthy working environment.

  • Promote a culture of quality and food safety excellence.

  • Take ownership of systems and processes to ensure high operational standards.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Perform administrative duties including tracking and monitoring production processes.

  • Manage PIMS and implement corrective actions on negative trends.

  • Utilize QFRs (As Per Triggers) as required.

  • Contribute to AB Reports and other operational reporting requirements.

  • Monitor production performance and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

  • Engineering qualification.

  • Advanced Certificate or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or any related field.

Experience

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Approximately 9 months of on-the-job training and successful completion of the SKAP programme within 12 months (for internal candidates).

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience within a packaging or FMCG manufacturing environment.

  • Experience operating production and packaging equipment will be an added advantage.

Required Skills and Competencies

The successful candidate should demonstrate:

  • Basic PC literacy, including Microsoft Office and SAP.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work rotating shifts.

  • High attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and within a team.

  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
