MOIC-LN Consortium Limited is engaged in the development and operation of the Lusaka–Ndola Dual Carriageway project. The company is committed to ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient road operations and is seeking a qualified Recovery Tow Truck Driver to support roadside recovery and emergency response services along the corridor.
The Recovery Tow Truck Driver will be responsible for responding to roadside incidents, safely recovering broken-down and accident vehicles, and providing emergency roadside assistance. The successful candidate will ensure recovery operations are carried out efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of road safety and professionalism.
Safely recover broken-down and accident vehicles.
Provide roadside assistance and emergency response services.
Secure vehicles for safe transportation and recovery.
Respond promptly to incidents along the Lusaka–Ndola Dual Carriageway.
Inspect the recovery truck before and after operations.
Identify and report mechanical defects or maintenance requirements.
Ensure the recovery vehicle is roadworthy and properly equipped at all times.
Complete accurate recovery reports and operational documentation.
Coordinate with the Control Centre, Road Patrol Team, and relevant authorities.
Maintain clear communication throughout recovery operations.
Applicants should possess:
Valid Zambian Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) Driver's Licence.
Minimum three (3) years of relevant heavy-truck or vehicle recovery experience.
The ideal candidate should have:
Practical experience operating recovery or heavy-duty tow trucks.
Experience responding to roadside emergencies and accident recoveries.
Good knowledge of road safety regulations and defensive driving practices.
The successful candidate should demonstrate:
Strong road safety and defensive driving knowledge.
Basic mechanical and vehicle troubleshooting skills.
Ability to remain calm under pressure during emergency situations.
Good communication and reporting skills.
Physical fitness and willingness to work shifts, weekends, and emergency call-outs.
Clean driving record with a high level of professionalism.
Preference will be given to candidates with:
Experience operating hydraulic recovery equipment or winches.
Defensive Driving Certificate.
Valid First Aid Certificate.
Previous experience in roadside assistance, towing, or emergency vehicle recovery services.
