Epiroc is seeking an experienced Regional Business Line Manager – Rock Drilling Tools & Ground Support (RGD) to lead and grow its business across East and Central Africa.
About the Role
The Regional Business Line Manager will be responsible for driving profitable business growth, strengthening customer relationships, expanding market presence, and leading the execution of commercial and operational strategies for the Rock Drilling Tools & Ground Support business line.
Based in Chingola, Zambia, the successful candidate will work closely with country managers, cross-functional teams, and regional leadership to achieve sustainable growth while promoting innovation, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Business Performance & Strategy
Drive revenue growth, profitability, and market share across the region.
Develop and implement business plans aligned with Epiroc's strategic objectives.
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and operational reviews to achieve financial targets.
Monitor business performance and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
Market Development & Customer Engagement
Identify new business opportunities and expand market presence.
Develop strategies to secure new customers and grow existing accounts.
Build long-term customer relationships and position Epiroc as the preferred supplier.
Collaborate with Country Managers and cross-functional teams to align commercial priorities.
Operational & Commercial Excellence
Oversee portfolio management and commercial execution.
Implement pricing strategies and optimise inventory management.
Maintain accurate sales forecasting and monitor key operational performance indicators.
Lead corrective actions to improve business performance.
Leadership & People Management
Lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
Establish clear performance objectives and measurable targets.
Support succession planning and talent development.
Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Governance, Safety & Compliance
Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) standards.
Ensure adherence to company policies, ethical standards, and Epiroc's Code of Conduct.
Serve as a role model for integrity, accountability, and professional leadership.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants should possess:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Management, Mining, or a related discipline.
A postgraduate qualification or MBA will be an added advantage.
Experience
The ideal candidate should have:
8–10 years of progressive experience in business line management, commercial leadership, technical sales, or related roles.
Experience within the mining, construction, heavy equipment, or industrial sectors.
Proven track record of delivering profitable growth and increasing market share.
Experience leading regional or multi-country teams within matrix organisational structures.
Strong background in solution selling and business development.
In-depth understanding of surface and underground mining applications, rock drilling tools, ground support products, and related equipment.
