Council of Law Reporting – Employment Opportunities

About the Organisation

The Council of Law Reporting is a statutory body established to prepare, publish, and disseminate law reports and other legal publications in Zambia. The Council is inviting applications from suitably qualified, experienced, and innovative Zambian nationals to fill the following vacancies.

Available Positions

1. Council Secretary (Chief Executive Officer) – JSS 13A (1 Position)

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Degree.

  • Advocate of the High Court of Zambia.

  • Minimum 10 years at the Bar.

  • At least 4 years' management experience.

2. Deputy Council Secretary – JSS 12 (1 Position)

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor of Laws Degree or equivalent.

  • Advocate of the High Court of Zambia.

  • Minimum 8 years at the Bar.

  • Management experience.

3. Editor-in-Chief – JSS 12 (1 Position)

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor of Laws Degree.

  • Diploma in Legislative Drafting.

  • Advocate of the High Court of Zambia.

  • Minimum 8 years at the Bar.

4. Court Reporter – JSS 09 (1 Position)

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor of Laws Degree.

5. Accountant – JSS 09 (1 Position)

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent.

  • Membership with the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA).

  • Membership with the Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply (ZIPS).

  • Minimum 1 year relevant experience.

6. Administrative Officer – JSS 09 (1 Position)

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent.

  • Membership with the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management (ZIHRM).

  • Minimum 1 year relevant experience.

7. Information Technology Officer – JSS 08 (1 Position)

Minimum Requirements

  • Diploma in Computer Science or equivalent.

  • Membership with the Information and Communication Technology Association of Zambia (ICTAZ).

  • Minimum 1 year relevant experience.

8. Personal Secretary – JSS 07 (1 Position)

Minimum Requirements

  • Diploma in Office Management or equivalent.

  • Shorthand speed of 100 words per minute.

  • Typing speed of 65 words per minute.

  • Minimum 2 years' relevant experience.

General Application Requirements

  • Certified copies of Academic and Professional Qualifications.

  • Copy of National Registration Card (Green NRC).

  • ZAQA Validation Certificate for qualifications.

Eligibility

Applicants must:

  • Be Zambian nationals with a Green NRC.

  • Be between 18 and 45 years of age (except serving public officers).
