The University is inviting applications from suitably qualified and highly motivated individuals to join the School of Medicine and Health Sciences as Full-Time Lecturers in the following disciplines.
Available Positions
Full-Time Lecturer – Pathology
Full-Time Lecturer – Human Anatomy
1. Full-Time Lecturer – Pathology
About the Role
The successful candidate will teach Pathology courses within the School of Medicine and Health Sciences and other relevant academic programmes. The lecturer will deliver high-quality instruction, facilitate laboratory and practical sessions, mentor students, conduct research, and contribute to curriculum development and continuous quality improvement.
The role also involves active participation in scholarly activities and University initiatives that support excellence in teaching, research, innovation, and healthcare education.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants should possess:
Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) or Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences, or an equivalent qualification.
Master's Degree in Pathology.
A PhD in Pathology will be an added advantage.
At least three (3) years' teaching experience at a recognised higher learning institution.
Evidence of research output, peer-reviewed publications, and conference presentations will be an added advantage.
Strong clinical leadership, communication, interpersonal, and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
Registration with the Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ).
2. Full-Time Lecturer – Human Anatomy
About the Role
The successful candidate will teach Human Anatomy courses within the School of Medicine and Health Sciences and other relevant academic programmes. Responsibilities include preparing and delivering lectures, facilitating practical and laboratory sessions, assessing students, conducting research, and supporting curriculum development and continuous quality improvement.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants should possess:
Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) or Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy, or an equivalent qualification.
Master's Degree in Human Anatomy.
A PhD in Human Anatomy will be an added advantage.
At least three (3) years' teaching experience at a recognised higher learning institution.
Evidence of research output, peer-reviewed publications, and conference presentations will be an added advantage.
Strong clinical leadership, communication, interpersonal, and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
Registration with the Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ).
Key Responsibilities (Both Positions)
Deliver high-quality lectures and practical instruction.
Facilitate laboratory-based learning activities.
Assess and mentor undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Conduct research and publish scholarly work.
Participate in curriculum development and review.
Support quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
Contribute to academic, research, and community engagement activities.
Participate in University committees and institutional initiatives.
