The company is seeking a qualified and motivated Technician, Mining to support the installation, maintenance, and repair of mining communication and safety systems.

About the Role

The Technician, Mining will be responsible for installing, repairing, maintaining, and optimizing communication networks and electronic systems used in mining operations. The role ensures that critical communication, fleet management, safety, and surveillance systems operate efficiently to support safe and productive mining activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Repair and optimize the mine's private radio network.

• Install, program, maintain, and repair all radio repeater stations and user communication equipment.

• Repair and maintain the mine's Rajant Mesh communication network (Production Network).

• Install and maintain the WENCO Fleet Management System across all mining haulage equipment.

• Install and repair the Driver Safety System (DSS) on mining haul trucks.

• Repair and maintain Avigilon CCTV surveillance systems across the mine.

• Install and repair Brigade safety systems on mining haul trucks.

• Perform preventive maintenance on communication and electronic systems.

• Carry out any other duties assigned by the Supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

• Full Grade 12 School Certificate.

• Diploma in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent qualification.

• All academic qualifications must be verified by the Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA).

Experience

The ideal candidate should have:

• Minimum 3 years' relevant experience in communication systems.

• Good computer literacy.

• Valid driver's licence.

• Experience with DSS, Brigade, Rajant, or Mesh networking systems will be an added advantage.
