Afri-Road Logistics Limited is a transport and logistics company operating across regional borders. The company is seeking experienced and reliable truck drivers to support its growing cross-border transportation operations.
The successful candidates will be responsible for transporting goods across borders while maintaining high standards of safety, compliance, reliability, and professionalism.
Afri-Road Logistics Limited is recruiting 50 experienced Cross-Border Truck Drivers based in the Copperbelt Province.
The position is suited to drivers with a strong background in regional cross-border trucking and a thorough understanding of the statutory and legal requirements governing commercial truck movements.
Successful candidates will be expected to operate responsibly, comply with applicable laws, and maintain the safety of vehicles, cargo, themselves, and other road users.
Operate company trucks safely on domestic and international routes.
Carry out assigned cross-border transportation duties efficiently and responsibly.
Ensure goods and cargo are transported securely and delivered as required.
Follow designated routes, schedules, and operational instructions.
Maintain a high standard of road safety throughout all journeys.
Conduct appropriate checks and report vehicle defects or mechanical issues.
Operate vehicles responsibly under varying road and operating conditions.
Take reasonable measures to protect the vehicle, cargo, and other road users.
Comply with Zambian laws and statutory requirements governing truck movement.
Observe applicable cross-border transportation requirements and procedures.
Ensure required travel and documentation requirements are properly maintained.
Maintain professional conduct when dealing with border authorities and other stakeholders.
Demonstrate reliability and responsibility on all driving assignments.
Maintain accurate and professional communication with the company regarding journeys and operational matters.
Report incidents, delays, breakdowns, or other issues promptly.
Maintain a clean professional record and uphold the company's standards.
Applicants should possess:
Minimum of 3 years' proven experience in cross-border truck driving.
A minimum of three valid passports demonstrating extensive cross-border travel experience.
Residency within the Copperbelt Province of Zambia.
A clean criminal record.
No listing on Zambia's blacklist of drivers.
Comprehensive knowledge of statutory requirements and Zambian laws regulating truck movement.
Demonstrated responsibility, reliability, and professionalism.
Proven cross-border trucking experience.
Good knowledge of regional road transportation requirements.
Understanding of truck movement regulations and border procedures.
Strong road-safety awareness.
Ability to handle long-distance and cross-border assignments.
Ability to identify and report vehicle-related problems.
Good understanding of professional commercial driving practices.
High level of responsibility and reliability.
Safety-conscious attitude.
Professional conduct.
Good communication skills.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to remain calm and responsible during challenging journeys.
Strong adherence to laws, company procedures, and operational instructions.
The role involves cross-border and long-distance truck operations, requiring drivers to travel between Zambia and regional destinations. Drivers should be prepared for extended journeys, border procedures, varying road conditions, and the responsibilities associated with transporting commercial cargo.
