The company is seeking a skilled Machinist to support the production and maintenance functions through precision machining, fabrication and repair of mechanical components.
The Machinist will be responsible for machining, fabricating and repairing mechanical components required for the effective operation and maintenance of the company's plant.
The successful candidate will play an important role in reducing equipment downtime by producing and servicing mechanical components accurately and within required specifications.
Operate machining equipment to manufacture and repair mechanical components.
Carry out precision machining and fabrication work according to required specifications.
Repair or modify mechanical components to restore equipment functionality.
Ensure completed components meet required dimensional and quality standards.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensions and technical specifications.
Use drawings and specifications to determine appropriate machining requirements.
Ensure manufactured components conform to the required tolerances and specifications.

Perform basic maintenance of machinery and associated equipment.
Identify and report equipment faults that could affect machining operations.

Support maintenance activities aimed at reducing plant downtime.
Coordinate with other technical personnel to ensure required spare parts are available when needed.
