About the Company

Catholic Kasaria Eco Village, under the Archdiocese of Ndola, is inviting applications from qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Plumber. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems to ensure the reliable operation of water supply and sanitation infrastructure within the facility.

About the Role

The Plumber will be responsible for installing and maintaining water supply systems, drainage systems, plumbing fixtures, pumps, and water storage facilities. The successful candidate will ensure all plumbing installations are completed to the required standards while carrying out repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities

Plumbing Installation & Maintenance

• Install and repair water pipes, drainage systems, and plumbing fixtures.

• Install and maintain pumps, water tanks, toilets, sinks, and taps.

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on plumbing systems.

• Ensure plumbing installations comply with required standards.

Inspection & Testing

• Test plumbing systems to ensure they function correctly.

• Identify faults and carry out necessary repairs.

• Inspect plumbing equipment and recommend maintenance where required.

Technical Support

• Read and interpret plumbing drawings and specifications.

• Use plumbing tools and equipment safely and effectively.

• Support other maintenance activities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

• Craft Certificate or Trade Test Certificate Level I in Plumbing or a related trade.

Experience

The ideal candidate should have:

• Practical experience in plumbing installation and maintenance.

• Experience working with water supply and drainage systems.

Required Skills and Competencies

The successful candidate should demonstrate:

• Good plumbing installation and maintenance skills.

• Ability to read and interpret plumbing drawings and specifications.

• Good communication and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Physical fitness and ability to use plumbing tools and equipment safely.

• Fluency in English and at least one local language.
