About the Role

MaxCare Hospital Zambia is looking for a skilled and professional Radiographer to provide diagnostic imaging services and contribute to accurate patient diagnosis and care.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing radiographic examinations, operating imaging equipment safely and effectively, and working closely with patients, radiology personnel, and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnostic Imaging

• Conduct radiographic examinations and related diagnostic imaging procedures accurately and efficiently.

• Perform X-ray examinations in accordance with established professional and clinical standards.

• Perform plain CT scans as required.

• Carry out ultrasonography (USG) procedures.

• Support contrast-enhanced CT examinations where appropriately trained and required.

Patient Care and Safety

• Ensure patients are appropriately prepared and positioned for examinations.

• Explain relevant procedures to patients and provide appropriate assistance throughout examinations.

• Maintain patient dignity, privacy, and comfort during imaging procedures.

• Follow radiation protection and occupational safety requirements.

• Ensure imaging procedures are performed in accordance with applicable professional standards.

Quality and Teamwork

• Maintain high standards of image quality to support accurate diagnosis.

• Operate and handle imaging equipment responsibly.

• Work collaboratively with radiologists, clinicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

• Maintain appropriate professional records and documentation relating to imaging procedures.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

Applicants should possess:

• A Diploma or Degree in Radiography from a recognised institution.

• A valid Practicing Certificate as a Radiographer.

• Demonstrated practical experience in radiographic procedures.

• Proficiency in X-ray imaging techniques.

• Experience in Ultrasonography (USG).

• Competence in performing plain CT scans.

Added Advantage

• Experience performing CT scans using contrast agents.

Technical & Professional Skills

• Strong knowledge of radiographic imaging procedures.

• Proficiency in X-ray imaging.

• Competence in CT scanning.

• Practical experience in ultrasonography.

• Knowledge of radiation protection and patient safety procedures.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

• High level of professionalism, accuracy, and attention to detail.
