The company is offering internship opportunities to individuals interested in gaining practical experience in raw material intake, inventory control, stock management and production accountability.
The Raw Material Intake & Inventory Control Intern will support the monitoring and control of raw materials transferred from the Raw Material Warehouse into the Intake Pit.
The role involves verifying, weighing, recording and reconciling raw material movements to ensure that all materials entering the production intake system are properly documented and traceable.
The intern will also help identify discrepancies, prevent recording errors and support effective control of raw material losses.
Monitor raw materials transferred from the warehouse to the Intake Pit.
Verify each raw material before it enters the intake system.
Confirm that the physical material corresponds with the relevant supporting documentation.
Verify product names, batch or lot numbers and quantities where applicable.
Ensure that no raw material enters the intake system without being properly recorded.
Weigh raw materials individually as required.
Accurately record every movement of raw materials.
Record material movements using the approved intake system or register.
Maintain accurate and complete intake records.
Ensure all entries contain the correct material identification and quantities.
Immediately report discrepancies between physical quantities and supporting documentation.
Help prevent duplicate entries, omissions and incorrect quantities.
Support accurate inventory tracking and material traceability.
Assist with stock reconciliation and identification of potential raw material losses.
Maintain accountability for raw materials throughout the intake process.
Applicants should possess:
A Grade 12 Certificate – mandatory.
A Diploma or Certificate in any of the following fields will be an added advantage:
Stores Management
Inventory Management
Procurement & Supply Chain Management
Accounting
Business Administration
Data Management
Statistics
A related field
