The company supplies a wide range of agricultural products and equipment, including agricultural inputs, machinery, fertilizers, seeds, chemicals and farming implements, supporting farmers and the wider agricultural sector.
Luanshya Agro Supplies Limited is seeking experienced and responsible Truck Drivers to join its Operations team in Luanshya.
The successful candidates will be responsible for transporting agricultural inputs, commodities and other company goods safely and efficiently to various destinations. The role requires strong knowledge of Zambian roads, responsible vehicle handling and a commitment to road safety and timely deliveries.
The position reports to the Operations Manager and Transport Supervisor.
Operate company trucks safely and responsibly while complying with Zambian road traffic laws and regulations.
Transport and deliver agricultural inputs, commodities and other company goods to designated destinations.
Ensure goods are properly loaded, secured and protected throughout transportation.
Complete deliveries safely and within the required schedules.
Demonstrate responsible handling of company vehicles, goods and fuel.
Conduct daily inspections of assigned trucks before and during operations.
Identify and promptly report mechanical faults, defects or other vehicle-related problems.
Keep assigned vehicles clean and in good operating condition.
Report breakdowns and other mechanical issues immediately to the relevant supervisor.
Maintain accurate trip sheets, delivery notes, fuel records and vehicle logbooks.
Ensure all required transportation and delivery documentation is properly completed.
Comply with company health and safety procedures as well as applicable road traffic regulations.
Immediately report accidents, delays, breakdowns and other incidents to management.
Account responsibly for company fuel, goods and vehicle usage.
Maintain professional conduct when interacting with customers, suppliers and other road users.
Perform other duties related to transportation and operations as assigned by management.
Applicants should possess:
Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent qualification.
Valid Class CE Driving Licence.
Valid PSV Licence.
At least 3 years of experience driving heavy commercial vehicles.
Good knowledge of Zambian road networks and traffic regulations.
A demonstrated safe driving record.
Ability and willingness to travel and work varying hours when required.
Strong heavy commercial vehicle driving skills.
Knowledge of vehicle safety and basic inspection procedures.
Good understanding of Zambian road traffic regulations.
Ability to complete and maintain vehicle and delivery documentation.
Ability to safely load, secure and transport goods.
Basic ability to identify and report mechanical faults.
High level of responsibility and reliability.
Strong commitment to road and workplace safety.
Good time management and punctuality.
Honesty and accountability when handling company vehicles, fuel and goods.
Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
Professional communication and conduct.
Flexibility to work varying schedules and travel as required.
The position is based in Luanshya and involves regular driving and transportation of company goods to various destinations. The successful candidates should be prepared for extended periods on the road, varying working hours and travel as required by operational needs.
