The school is seeking a qualified and committed Zambian Languages Teacher to join its teaching team and contribute to effective language instruction and the preservation of Zambia's linguistic and cultural heritage.
The Zambian Languages Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality language instruction to learners while creating a supportive and well-managed classroom environment.
The successful candidate should demonstrate strong classroom management abilities, effective communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Candidates must also be committed Christians whose values align with the school's faith-based environment.
Plan and deliver effective Zambian Languages lessons appropriate to learners' age and educational level.
Provide engaging language instruction that supports learners' academic development.
Promote understanding and appreciation of Zambian languages and cultural heritage.
Assess learners' progress and provide appropriate support to improve learning outcomes.
Maintain high standards of teaching and professional conduct.
Maintain a positive, orderly and supportive classroom environment.
Apply effective classroom management techniques.
Encourage learners to participate actively in lessons and school activities.
Support the holistic development of learners in line with the school's educational and Christian values.
Work collaboratively with colleagues and school management.
Communicate effectively with learners, colleagues and other relevant stakeholders.
Carry out assigned teaching and school-related responsibilities.
Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining professional standards.
Applicants should possess:
A Diploma or Degree in Zambian Languages or a related field.
At least 2 years of teaching experience.
A full G.C.E. Certificate with five credits or better, including English and other relevant subjects.
Registration with the Teaching Council of Zambia (TCZ).
A valid Teaching/Practising Licence.
Minimum age of 25 years.
Fluency in both written and spoken English.
A minimum of three years of Christian testimony.
Commitment to the Christian values and faith-based environment of the school.
Candidates should demonstrate:
Strong knowledge and proficiency in Zambian Languages.
Good classroom management skills.
Effective lesson delivery and learner-engagement abilities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Good interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Commitment to academic excellence and learner development.
The successful candidate will work in a faith-based pre-primary and primary school environment in Lusaka. The role involves regular classroom interaction with young learners and collaboration with other members of the teaching team.
